Kaden loved the swing my parents setup at their house. He had great fun in it. He also loved their dog's water bowl. He especially enjoyed splashing the water all over the place and then eventually just dumping the whole thing out. He thought that was just great. Oddly enough, the rest of us enjoyed him doing that as well. Aren't babies fun?

Kaden has also discovered Kelley's old chiar from when she was little. He likes to sit it in and we have had to move it out of the corner so that he can sit in it.

I didnt put the shoes on the babies feet incorrectly. This is a lie told by the "evil one" who makes up evil lies about me in order to rob me of my self respect. She is a meanie. Also she has time to go eat with her little girlfriends BUT NOT HER HUSBAND!!! This is a clear sign that her priorities are totally whacked out dude!

We have a deer head on our wall at home and Greg has named the deer "Bob"....Now that Kaden is saying a few words...Greg has taught Kaden to say Bob and to associate Bob with the deer head on the wall. If you ask Kaden where's Bob?, he looks at the deer head, points and says "Bob"...

When we were at the mall on Saturday afternoon, I wanted to get Kaden's picture made with the Easter Bunny..and I said look Kaden it's the Easter Bunny...and Kaden hollered "BOB"

I guess I never knew that the Easter Bunny's name is Bob.

Kaden is 1! Kelley is 5,345,654,032 ! It's an unfortunate truth to have to face, but none the less we must. I am cooler than Kelley. Yes, she will attempt to claim otherwise, but that is a false statement. It really is better that we just go ahead and accept that and move on with our lives. My triceps do not lie, they really are sexy.

Wow!! What a great Christmas!! We got to spend time with family and it sure was fun to watch the kids open presents. Even Kaden knew what to do with them..he would rip the paper off and then try to eat it..but once he saw what was inside he was excited!!

Chad is in Canton, Georgia at a wrestling tournament and won't be home until late tomorrow night. Kaden is in Tennessee with his daddy at Greg's parents. Greg is getting in all the hunting he can. Melissa is at my parents house and is right now walking on the beach picking up seashells. I can't wait to talk to her and find out all about it. I just wonder what gulf shores looks like, we have not had a chance to go down there since Ivan came through. Everyone is doing all this fun stuff and I have to work...THAT IS JUST NOT FAIR!!!!

Hello Kaden, How are you doing today? You like quite snappy in your suspenders and boots. I think you are the coolest and cutest baby that has ever existed since the dawn of time billions of years ago. Note I said billions with a b. The earth is not 6,000 years old and putting saddles on dinosaurs is simply stupid. Suprise T-Rex and humans didn't co-exist!

Kaden is a happy baby. He behaves all the time and he is very cute. I would take him to work with me if I could, although I would never get any work done that way.

Melissa won a PSP at church the other night. We have decided that if we ever play the lotto that she is going to pick the numbers. She is a lucky girl.

I just want to start things off by stating that Kaden rules. He is undoubtably the cutest and most precious baby ever. He is cool in all things and he likes doggies. He also likes to say "Hey Da da" alot because he recognizes a kindred spirit in coolness. We are birds of a feather, my little man and I . We are two kindred souls wandering the barren landscape that is this planet. Also, I shot a bobcat.

I like hunting. Hunting is a great way for me to escape the "real world" for a bit and recover some of my sanity. I spend the entire year looking forward to it. If I didn't have hunting I would like go completely insane. I dont know if Kelley really approves or not, I suppose that would require her noticing me in some fashion. So I think its safe to say that I am ok, because she isn't likely to notice me anytime soon.

Kaden rules, have I mentioned this lately? I should have. He is funny!

So I just figured I would post here since the only way that anyone knows I exist is by my posts, if you read the other persons post you wouldn't know that Kaden had a father, atleast one that was still alive. Ofcourse there is a good chance that Kaden's mother doesn't realize that Kadens father is in fact alive despite living in the same house with him. Imagine that.

Chad wrestled at Grissom last night. He had 3 matches one against Arab and two against Bob Jones and he won all three!! GO CHAD!!! He won the first match by a pin, second by points and pinned the guy in the 3rd match. His record this year so far is 4 wins 2 losses.

Well first off I want to say that I LOVE KELLEY! Ha, didn't expect that one did ya? I also want to say that KADEN ROCKS! He is having a great time rolling around saying "Da Da". He is getting very mobile and is taking steps on his own as long as we are helping him hold steady. He will be 9 months old in 3 days and he is well on his way to walking. He had his tubes put in his ears and they are still draining a little, which is an indication of how bad his infections were. The Doctor was suprised he wasn't complaining of ear pain given the condition of his inner ear. Kaden handled the surgery better than mom and dad did!

Chad kicked butt in Blackhorse. This was his first varsity event and he did very well. And best of all, no "Candyland" was played, or so he claims.

Melissa is set to start basketball any day now. We are just waiting to hear from her coach. She is excited and ready to get things going.

Kelley wrecked my car. Truthfully I dont think it was her fault, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to give her a hard time about it.

It's turned cold in Huntsville. Is it too early to be ready for spring????

Chad has his last JV football game tonight..they are playing Huntsville...GO GRISSOM. The picture is from last weeks game against Florence..(It's Chad during warm ups). He also has one more varsity game...he won't get a break at all before he starts wrestling next Tuesday.

Melissa is done with cheerleading and we are about to register for basketball (you know we never stop!!!)

Kaden has been sick with an ear infection all week long. I had to take him back to the doctor on friday because he was not responding to the anitbotic that he was on and his ear infection was not any better, so he got a shot and another antibotic..and he had a GREAT weekend!!! You can tell he was definately back to his old self.

I have to laugh and cry. While watching CNN today I saw where they had a piece of the show "The Situation Room" dedictated to "Bloggers reaction to Micheal Browns testimony". You know what, WHO CARES. Why does anyone care what nameless and faceless fools on the internet think? The INTERNET MAKES YOU STUPID PEOPLE. The internet is full of all sorts of things, and the vast majority of it doesn't need to be treated like news or anything worth paying attention to. Just look up "furries" if you want an example. Perhaps we should ask them what they think.

The news media is in a sad state it seems. If you are so desperate for something to put on air that you actually care what "bloggers" think, then you are really hard up for material. My suggestion is just static, because it has the same informational value as most anything on the internet.

The internet really does make you stupid. You've probably lost 5 points off your IQ simply by reading this.

Where did my posts go? I am issuing an Amber Alert for my missing posts! Clearly something foul is afoot here. Obviously someone wants to curtail my freedom of speech! Well I won't stand for that! You cannot revoke my inalienable right to say what I want to say! If I have to make pre-emptive strikes in order to preserve my freedom and way of life then I will, regardless of whether or not you have any WMDs!

First off, the reason I was in the hospital is because I almost died. You cannot say it was for nothing but excessive stomach acid. Let us not forget all the vomiting of blood and extreme pain! Your attempts to downplay my near death experience will not work!

I like bunny rabbits.

I would also like to bring another situation to your attention. I spent that one friday night in the hospital and I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything. So I wake up early Sat. morning and am starving, but I am still not allowed to eat or drink anything. So Kelley comes in to my hospital room somewhat early that morning WITH A BAG FULL OF MCDONALDS BISCUITS! I am starving to death and she starts having a breakfast feast RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE! It was bad enough that I couldnt eat despite the fact that I was starving, but its made much worse by the smell of McDonalds biscuits and hashbrowns filling the room for hours and hours. THANKS FOR THINKING OF ME AS I LAY THERE DYING! DONT MIND ME, THE GUY HERE IN THE HOSPITAL BED, PLEASE CONTINUE YOUR FEAST! THANK YOU PLEASE DRIVE THROUGH.

And then no one called me to check on me that evening. I WAS PUT OUT TO PASTURE TO DIE BUT I CAME BACK FROM THE GRAVE AND NOW I MUST HAUNT YOU!

Chad played last night...they won 19-6...JV is 1-0 YEA!!!

CHAD SACKED THE QUARTERBACK....he ended up with a 4 or 5 tackles and well as THE SACK..he also assisted on a couple of tackles as well!!! YEA CHAD....HE HAS STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping Grissom's photographer got some actions shots!!!

Once again Chad was not able to play last night...Lee cancelled the JV game because they didn't have enough to play...so the JV played the JV..(Chad's side did win though)...Chad make an awesome tackle and brought a HUGE kid down on the 3 yard line!!! GO CHAD!!!!

Our week last week was an interesting one to say the least...Kaden got a double ear infection (poor baby, he was so pitiful)..and Greg was in the hospital over the weekend..nothing serious (thank goodness), just too much acid on the stomach and we are going to have to do some adjusting to his diet and cut out some things he really likes..but he's at home now and he's on the way to recovery..he also had hopefully the last of the injections in his back...we are still waiting to see if they are going to work....

Melissa is running for Student Council President...Elections are THURSDAY..

Happy Labor Day

Varsity plays Hazel Green tonight so Melissa, Kaden and I will be cheering them on...Greg is still not able to sit at a ballgame yet..hopefully on Tuesday when Chad plays he will get to at least stay and watch some of it..Greg will have the rest of the injections in his back done on Wednesday of next week.

Melissa cheered at two football games last night and now does not have a voice...she is having a friend spend the night tonight (should be fun)

just a side note Grissom beat Butler last Friday night. So varsity is 1 and 0.

Chad did not get to play his JV football game this past Monday because of Hurricane Katrina. Our hearts and prayers go out to those victims. Mom and Dad were very lucky and only are missing shingles!!

High School Football Officially Starts Tonight

Tonight Grissom (varsity) opens their season against Butler High School. GO TIGERS!! (I must point out that I am only cheering for the Grissom Tigers, not that school that is in the middle of a cow pasture in South Alabama)

This is Chad's football picture for this year. He has his first (JV) game on Monday Night where Grissom will play Johnson.

On a side note, Kaden has gotten 2 teeth in this week!!! He's almost ready for CORN ON THE COB.

Melissa's First (Cheer) game is next Thursday night.

Greg is having back problems...he has already been through a series of tests (had an MRI this week and everything looks great) Apparently he is having some trouble with his facet joints and will be having some injections in his back next Wednesday that will hopefully give him some much needed realief.

Melissa is at Granny and Da's this week...Swimming, going to the livestock auction (just hope she really didn't buy any goats), EATING, EATING and more EATING! Think she is eating them out of the house.

Chad's football practices have offically begun. They are in two-a-days now. At least it's not that hot right now...I watched part of practice last night (Chad was playing cornerback on defense) GO GRISSOM TIGERS!!!! (Had to clarify that was Grissom wouldn't want to you think I would actually say that really bad word that starts with AU and ends with BURN).

Kaden has finally rolled over he got his arm caught up under him...Here's a picture (thanks to Vanessa)

Hope to have some pictures of Chad up later in the week...I plan on going to practice again when they are in pads and getting some pictures of him (ssshhhh, Don't tell him)

On some sad news..my co-worker and office mate Holly has gone to take a position teaching English at a local middle school..although I am extremely happy for her and I know she will be great and the kids will love her..we will surely miss her blubbley personality everyday...

Wow..Kaden is really liking this eating thing...so much it makes him fall asleep..isn't he cute.

School starts in just a week and a 1/2....It's hard to believe the kids summer is almost over. Chad starts official 2-a-days for football....and man is it hot...just hope they drink enough water!!!

Melissa is staying at the pool or should I say in the pool...she is making sure that she gets to enjoy what is left of the summer!!! She is very excited about school starting...she got the nicest teacher in 5th grade (she says).

KADEN ROCKS

Kaden is rocking and a rolling... Atleast he is a rolling over on his side when he sticks his feet up in the air. He also enjoys talking to Gracie, our Jack Russell Terrier! She isn't sure what he is saying, but then neither are we. It seems like Kaden gets bigger and stronger every day.

I think we also have a kid named Chad. I say "think" because after we hooked up his XBox Live the other day we haven't seen him come out of his room for more than a few minutes to inhale some food or to go to the potty!!

Melissa is a thespian! Thats THESPIAN, her and Sidney are just friends! They have created a play and I have been lucky enough to see it twice now. You might think it gets less painful each time. You might think that, but you would be wrong, oh so very wrong.

Kelley cut the grass the other day! She said that she got a good workout doing it too. Did I mention that our lawnmower is self-propelled? Yes, Kelley got a good solid workout walking along behind it. Its nice to know that she is in such good shape at her age. Given her advanced years, walking along behind a self-propelled lawnmower is no easy feat! Go Kelley. Maybe next you can get a good workout riding a bike down hill!

As for me, it appears that I might live, though you wouldn't know it by the way I carry on! Most of the sickness has left me and I am back at work doing meaningful work.
